LinkedIn and Facebook. JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for
managing current client portfolios to retain and grow that segment
of the business. Secondarily, assists in the development of asset
allocation models, security selection and economic forecasts.
Additionally, this role develops new investment business
opportunities for the Bank. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Management of
Client Portfolios (40%)
- Assist clients in making sound choices between all the
different investment options available.
- Develops relationships with existing and future clients to
build trust and confidence.
- Recommends investment strategies that fit the clients needs to
help them reach their goals.
- Maximizes client satisfaction to ensure retention of
clients.
- Meets regularly with clients for on-going plan review, updating
current and future circumstances, needs and objectives and
reviewing investment performance.
- Educates and communicates with clients about market conditions,
evidence-based investment principles, changes in regulatory or tax
environment, and other factors which may influence client decisions
or behavior.
- Completes regulator administrative review requirements for
assigned client accounts and adheres to other departmental
compliance guidelines. Development and Implementation of Investment
Strategy Assistance (25%)
- Contributes to the creation of monthly Economic and Market
Analysis reports, asset allocation models, stock focus lists,
mutual fund select lists, and other analyses required for portfolio
management.
- Keeps informed about the wealth management industry, internal
and regulatory standards, procedures, and changes to ensure
compliance with all applicable trust laws, rules, regulations, and
practices. Market Investment Products & Services (20%)
- Markets investment products and services to both current
clients and potential new clients. Referrals (5%)
- Proactively refers clients and potential clients to other Bank
entities for business banking, mortgage, or retail banking needs.
Leadership (5%)
- Exhibits leadership as an individual contributor by supporting
the team and company through sharing of knowledge, leading by
example, setting high standards for self and team, being
accountable, demonstrating open communication, acknowledging and
supporting other s efforts, and providing feedback when
appropriate. Performs Other Duties as Required and Assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of investments, portfolio
management, and governmental laws and regulations surrounding
involvement with customers and the investment process.
- Strong customer relation skills, self-motivation, strong
attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; able to
effectively articulate investment management and financial planning
options to clients.
- Ability to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local
laws and regulations and Bank policies in the execution of this
role.
- Ability to respond timely to multiple client/administrative
problems simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other investment officers
and as part of an investment team.
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong aptitude for math and
accounting.
- Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance
- Ability to complete required training by assigned due date.
EDUCATION
- Minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance,
Accounting, or related field required
- MBA or CFA strongly required EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar position
