Our client, a stable entity with exceptional benefits, is seeking a highly motivated individual, eager to be part of a collaborative team environment, to oversee specific accounting functions. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will lead or assist in numerous financial aspects including billings and cash receipts, accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, maintaining the general ledger and journal entries, and some monthly financial reporting. An ideal organization for someone looking to refine their leadership style and further their education with unlimited tuition assistance. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Accounts Payable oversee the preparing of invoices, bill payments, paperwork filings and report generation
• Accounts Receivable oversee tenant activity reports, monthly billings, collection activities, past due accounts, cash receipts, and report generation
• Oversee the General Ledger by closing out month-end balances, reconciling assets and liabilities, and reviewing monthly budget schedules and income/expense accounts
• Prepare monthly reports regarding Statement of Income and Expenses
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries with supporting paperwork
• Assist in developing the annual budget
• Annually review, analyze, and close out subsidiary ledgers
• Assist in preparing for the year-end audit including answering auditor questions as needed
• Provide input on annual reviews and ongoing mentoring of two department employees
• Assist with reviewing other accounting/finance department work for accuracy Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in general ledger accounting
  • CPA certificate, a plus
  • Experience implementing or working with an ERP system, a plus
  • Must be detail-oriented and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
