Job Description and Hours
Under the guidance of the Finance Director, responsible for accounting functions, including, but not limited to recording accruals, recording manual journals, managing cash balances, accounting for fixed assets, reconciling accounts and preparing reports. This position requires continuous communication with other individuals throughout the organization on a frequent and regular basis. Other duties may be assigned as they relate to the position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare, code, enter and post a variety of journal entries.
Review and reconcile various general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.
Manage Cash Balances.
Account for fixed assets.
Communicate daily with numerous staff and departments regarding job duties.
Run and distribute various reports on a regular basis.
Special Projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Two years of accounting experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel required. SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  Able to maintain effective work relations with staff, vendors, and the general public as well as working independently.
  Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate and a self-starter.
  Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  Able to perform mathematical calculations involving decimals, fractions, and percentages.
  Able to maintain confidentiality.
  Advance Excel skills required to perform daily job functions.
  PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
