Location: Fremont, NE Erickson & Brooks are a team of professionals dedicated to providing a full line of accounting and related services to our clients. Our firm was established in 1946, making us one of the longest serving Certified Public Accounting firms in the State of Nebraska. The firm offers the traditional accounting and auditing services along with income tax services. We provide these services to all types of entities, including individuals, corporations, limited liability entities, partnerships, government subdivisions, non-profit organizations and others. At Erickson & Brooks, our major strength is in our people. We strive to maintain a good working relationship with not only our staff but the clients we serve. From the top down, we work together to provide the best service for our clients. And by the way, we try to maintain a low-key atmosphere in the office and have some fun along the way with occasional lunches and social events to let our hair down once in a while. We are currently looking for an experienced CPA with 5 years of recent tax experience. This position will enhance your strong interpersonal and technical skills to serve assigned clients. Tax engagements include individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates and trusts, which will encompass the preparation and review of income, gift & estate tax returns. Work may include but not limited to: Preparing tax returns for an entity or individual Gather relevant tax-related information from the client, which may include an initial meeting, so an accurate tax return can be prepared; Work with the tax partner to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure maximum tax benefit is applied Depending on experience level, review of income tax returns prepared by newer staff Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis Erickson & Brooks offers an extensive benefits package including a flexible work environment, which allows you the ability to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
