delivery by providing clerical services to Dunklau Gardens. Perform
direct and indirect resident cares within the scope of licensure.
Maintain an orderly and clean facility.Responsibilities:Essential
FunctionsProvide administrative support to the nursing units.
- Answer phones using appropriate telephone etiquette and
ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Consistently promote a positive image of the unit.Transcribe
and countersign physician's orders.
- Receive and interpret physician orders.
- Implement orders and document of all resident related
information.Provide clinical support to the unit coordinating
patient care.Prepare and maintain medical record according to
established policies.
- Initiate proper documentation for all patient changes (e.g.,
transfers, discharge, etc.).
- Ensure all orders are disseminated to appropriate staff in a
timely manner.
- Review and ensure completion of all orders.Monitor supply stock
and reorder as needed to maintain sufficient inventory.Provide
direct resident care under the supervision of nursing team.
- Consistently promote a positive resident and employee
experience.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living.
- Assist with procedures as directed.
- Prepare and transport residents for meals and assists with
distribution and feeding as needed.
- Assist and accompany resident in the admission, transfer and
discharge processes.
- Administer medications within scope of licensure and accurately
documents in medical record.
- Provide for resident privacy at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following proper
sanitation guidelines.
- Secure resident clothing and personal property (e.g.,
prosthetic devices, hearing aids, glasses, etc.) and placing
owner's information as appropriate.Schedule:9 am to 530 pm weekend
rotationJob Description:Job RequirementsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 75 hour CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) course
required.License/Certifications
- 40 Hour Medication Aide Certification required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
strongly preferred to have at time of hire, required within 3
months of hire.Experience
- Minimum six months CNA experience required.
- One year experience in a Long Term Care/Skilled Care facility
preferred.Skills
- Skill with verbal and written communication.
- Skill using computers and clinical software.
- Skill observing and documenting patient/resident
conditions.
- Knowledge of Medical terminology.
- Knowledge of geriatric populations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
