Description Job Title: Parking Enforcement Ambassador Schedule:
Tuesday – Saturday | 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM Pay: $19.50/hour Job Type:
Full-Time Position Overview The Parking Enforcement Ambassador
serves as a visible representative of the City of Omaha,
responsible for maintaining compliance with parking regulations
while delivering professional, respectful service to the community.
This role requires strong judgment, integrity, and the ability to
remain composed under pressure. Ambassadors operate independently
in the field, enforce city ordinances, and engage with the public
daily. Key Responsibilities Patrol assigned routes on foot (3–5
miles daily) to ensure compliance with parking regulations Enforce
City of Omaha parking ordinances accurately and consistently
Utilize License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to monitor time
limits and violations Issue citations and warnings with a high
level of accuracy and attention to detail Respond to parking
complaints and enforcement requests in a timely and professional
manner Assess situations and make decisive enforcement decisions;
identify scofflaw vehicles, request towing when necessary, and
initiate booting actions as directed Perform meter hooding as
requested by the management team Provide clear, respectful guidance
to the public regarding parking rules, directions, how to pay for
parking, and general city information De-escalate confrontational
situations while maintaining authority and professionalism Identify
and report hazards, damaged meters, missing signage, faded
markings, and missing or incorrect decals/stickers Operate
enforcement equipment and mobile devices ethically and
professionally Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including
extreme cold, heat, and high wind Core Expectations We are seeking

the field Work Environment Extensive walking (3–5 miles daily)
Outdoor work in varying and extreme weather conditions Frequent
interaction with the public in both routine and high-stress
situations, including close-contact encounters during enforcement

license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background

make sound, independent decisions in the field Proven ability to
handle high-stress or confrontational situations professionally
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Basic
proficiency with smartphones and mobile applications Preferred
Qualifications: Prior experience in parking enforcement, security,
law enforcement, or a related field Experience working in a
public-facing or customer service role Experience handling conflict
resolution or de-escalation situations Familiarity with handheld
devices, citation systems, or LPR technology Experience working
independently in a field-based or outdoor role Basic knowledge of
city ordinances, parking regulations, or enforcement procedures
