Job Description The Clinical Recruiting Specialist/Marketing
Specialist is responsible for providing support for Clinical
Pharmacy research through creation of site-level plans for
recruitment of study volunteers, partnering with site management to
fill study protocol, community outreach initiatives, and working
with advertising/media agencies to place appropriate local clinic
recruitment advertising. This position is Office Based. Lead in the
development and execution of study-specific recruiting plans.
Coordinates with local and central vendors to develop and place
advertising in (such as radio, newspaper, etc. and assess outreach
efforts. Coordinates with the Social Media Marketing Coordinator
the site---s general branding and social media strategies Creates
participant recruitment materials and assists in IRB submissions of
recruitment materials Evaluates and monitors current recruitment
efforts and works with the clinical team, and site Management to
apply knowledge to increase recruitment and improve retention of
volunteers. Participates in recruitment strategy presentations as
required Participates in client/sponsor calls to discuss
recruitment Ensures all recruitment materials, programs and
processes comply with regulatory standards and SOPs. Responsible
for administrative duties related to the recruitment process
including purchase orders and invoicing Maintains regular
communication with Clinic Director and site Management team in
regard to study recruitment strategies, and overall recruitment
needs. Recommends changes when necessary and justifies them in
accordance with policies Assist in identifying community
organizations, charities, local events, etc., that would serve to
increase the awareness of the local site in the general population
and medical communities. Participates in identifying means to
assist with patient and special population recruitment strategies
Attends community events to represent the site. Maintains community
relationships through meetings and identifying sponsorships, etc.
Ensures that client and participant confidentiality is maintained.
Takes ownership for the quality and standard of work within
operations. Tracks site recruitment budgets (general and
study-specific spend) Strategizes with site management on an
internal site recruitment plan Performs other related duties as
assigned. Requirements: University/college degree (life science,
marketing, communications, business or related subject preferred),
In lieu of a degree, typically 3 years of experience in a related
field (e.g. subject recruitment, clinical research) will be
considered in addition to the experience requirement. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills Minimum 2 years of
experience in Clinical Research, Recruitment, Marketing,
Communications, or related discipline is preferred. Additional
experience may be substituted for education requirements.
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Applicants must be available during
normal business hours: (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday).
Excellent use of spoken and written English communication Ability
to learn and use new technology and software Basic knowledge of
medical terminology Have high ethical standards and professional
honesty Friendly and outgoing demeanor Prolonged periods of sitting
at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds
at times Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily
with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken
word; those activities where detailed or important spoken
instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly,
or quickly Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal
speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability
to receive detailed information through oral communication, and
making fine discriminations in sound The worker is required to have
close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and
analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer
terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small
defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including
inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or
fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes
