Our Marketing team is looking for an Intern to join our growing team! This internship will give the qualified candidate an opportunity to obtain valuable experience. Hours:

• Flexible; Between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• 15-20 hours per week depending on the applicant's schedule
• More hours available in Summer (up to 40 hours per week) Duties in the Marketing Department include:
  • Communicating with prospective agents via telephone to identify their potential interest in an appointment with BHHC and feeding any lead information to the field marketing staff to attempt to appoint new agents.
  • Reviewing prospective agency applications for completeness and potential matches and following up for additional information before passing along to Field Marketing Staff.
  • Reviewing submitted applications for appointment for completeness and following up for additional information prior to forwarding applications on to the Agency Unit.
  • Working with the Agency Unit to help appoint and set up new agencies by providing bundled information collected from the agents and field representatives.
  • Distributing marketing material and flyers to the field representatives via electronic distribution and physical preparation of folders and flyers for mailing. May assist with making changes to current marketing flyers. During this internship, the student will gain:
    • Knowledge of fundamental principles of insurance including commercial auto and property
    • Marketing experience while engaging with prospective agencies
    • Knowledge of Marketing Department operations Requirements:
      • Sophomore or Junior class standing
      • Marketing or business major and maintain full-time course load during internship
      • Must be able to work on site for a minimum of two semesters
      • Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Excel and Word
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Excellent customer service skills
      • Excellent phone skills
      • Excellent organization skills
