Job Description:

Borsheims is looking for a full-time Marketing Specialist to join our team. At Borsheims, we take pride in providing our Signature Service to every customer, and you will play a vital role in helping us do that.

We are looking for a creative and organized individual to help us deliver Borsheims' omnichannel Signature Service by managing events and overseeing our social media presence. Our Marketing Specialist is responsible for working with the marketing team to develop long- and short-range marketing plans, products, and marketing mediums. If you have prior event planning and/or social media experience, a keen eye for detail and are a strong communicator, you may be the gem we've been searching for!

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Four-year college degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising Communications, or a related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in Marketing
  • Event planning experience .
  • Experience creating marketing campaigns and programs to promote events.
  • Experience styling products to be photographed for social media channels.
  • Social media content calendar management and account management for Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop content ideas and storyboards, write posts and captions, and style products.
  • Create social media content for all marketing materials utilizing the Borsheims voice .
  • Excellent storytelling and messaging skills that appeal to audience segments .
  • A plus but not required to have experience with third-party content and SEO platform software.
  • Video experience a plus
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organization skills
  • Have a valid driver s license to travel to and work at off-site events You Will:
    • Plan, coordinate, promote and execute the event plan for marketing campaigns, including but not limited to the Berkshire Hathaway shareholder weekend, community events, in-store trunk shows and designer appearances, and vendor events. Provides on-site event coordination and support before, during, and after the event has concluded.
    • Develop goals and tactics for each experiential marketing activity, ensuring communication and cohesive branding of events/products to maximize sales potential, enhance the in-store experience and stay in line with company strategy and goals.
    • Handle all aspects of event planning and logistics to meet customer needs, including finding venues, negotiating prices/contracts, vendor management, arranging food and beverage, ordering supplies and audiovisual equipment, making travel arrangements, ordering event signage, and ensuring appropriate d--cor (florals, linens, color schemes, etc.)
    • Review and make recommendations to improve the event planning and implementation process. Evaluate campaign effectiveness in terms of sales results and other advertising benefits derived from campaigns. Assess the return on investment for in-store and off-site events and make suggestions for future campaigns.
    • Adhere to a budget and oversee bid processes. Communicate with vendors to ensure proposed costs are met or to resolve discrepancies.
    • Communicate with managers, buyers, facilities, security and any other departments/staff needing event information.
    • Manage the Borsheims brand presence on social media channels with consistent, fresh, compelling content and messaging to maximize all channels. Maintain a quality control process, ensuring all social media channels have uniformity of voice and tone, are on brand, error-free, and consistent in style and messaging.
    • Work with buyers to ensure the appropriate product is being featured in social media campaigns.
    • Assist in styling products for social media photoshoots in conjunction with photography and digital artists. Use Adobe Creative Suite with the graphic marketing design specialist, to produce creative for social channels.
    • Find and build relationships with online influencers to grow Borsheims' social media followers.
    • Report on social media metrics and provide continual analysis of marketing goals, adjusting the social strategy as new tactics and best practices emerge. We Are:
