Job Description Job Description Now Hiring: Maintenance Specialist I Location: BVCA Partnership Properties Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt BVCA Partnership is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Specialist to help care for and maintain our housing properties. This position plays a vital role in ensuring safe, clean, and welcoming environments for the individuals and families we serve. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the interior and exterior of BVCA-owned and rental properties Perform routine repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, and heating troubleshooting Complete preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, grounds, and equipment Respond to service requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner Assist with property upkeep, including landscaping, painting, cleaning, and minor renovations Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained and accounted for Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required At least one year of experience in general building science, property maintenance, or related field Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and travel as needed Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Basic computer skills and the ability to communicate clearly in English What We’re Looking For: A motivated individual who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and is committed to helping create safe, affordable housing opportunities in our communities.
