Do you have an interest in cars? The Department of Administrative Services Transportation Services Bureau is looking for an Automotive Service Worker to join their team. Under immediate to general supervision, the Automotive Service Worker performs unskilled manual and semi-skilled work in the servicing and safety checking of vehicles and automotive equipment; reserves use of and schedules maintenance of vehicles; operates vehicles as needed; performs related work as assigned. Apply to join our team today Job Duties: Provides assistance to customers and agency representatives including the servicing and reserving of vehicles, using of fuel cards, and using operational/safety features of specialized vehicles; picks up and delivers vehicles and parts. Washes, cleans, and waxes vehicles. Performs seasonal preventative maintenance activities for vehicles by checking and replacing coolants as needed. Maintains records and reports as needed such as service maintenance forms, work orders, accident reports, vehicle reservation forms, fuel usage , mileage logs, and trip/travel forms. Prepares vehicles for permanent assignment to agencies or disposal, including adding/removing license plates, agency or state decals, vehicle manuals, forms of identification, and other documents. All other duties assigned within the scope of the classification. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Coursework, training, or experience in servicing vehicles and associated equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in automotive detailing, fueling station employment and other customer service related fields. Other: Regular and Reliable attendance is required. Must have current and valid Nebraska driver's license. This position requires you to drive various types of automotive vehicles like cars, pickup trucks, vans and 12 passenger vans. This position may also require candidates to be exposed daily to fumes, grease, dirt, and gasoline, and to work out-of-doors. Flexible Work Schedule. 4 hours a day (1pm-5pm), for 20 hours a week. OR (2) 8 hour days and (1) 4 hour day, for 20 hours a week. Hours could be adjusted later to a different time period as it fits with the TSB team.
