United States of America - Nebraska, Omaha **Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Engineer - Environmental Investigations/Remediation for employment in the Omaha, NE office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks + Develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities through assigned tasks + Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives + Prepare engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids + Assist with field work (e.g., groundwater and soil sampling, well installation, and contractor oversight) + Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories + Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance, and draft reports based on observed conclusions and professional judgment + Task manage portions of larger projects and mentor junior level staff or interns + Operates and maintains remediation systems + Builds analytic and design skills. + Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an + experienced engineer. + Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. + Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. + Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision. **Minimum Requirements** + BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering + 0-2 years' experience in environmental consulting or related field + Demonstrated technical writing abilities + Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software + Ability to travel regionally for short-term overnight assignments + Valid US Driver's License + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + U.S. Citizenship required + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) + OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour training + Contractor oversight experience + Construction inspection experience + Remedial investigation, remediation planning, or design experience + Previous field work, a plus + Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models or other drainage and water modeling software) **What We Offer** When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
