Job Description:
- Prepare designs for pipeline, meter, regulator and relief valve
sizing and compression facilities; specify materials to be
purchased to implement facility designs; develop project
implementation schedules; prepare cost estimates; perform
engineering studies involving data analysis and process flow
analysis and written reports.
- The senior engineer provides highly technical engineering
services and directs the work of others in specific technical
service areas such as mechanical and electrical
activities.
- Provide technical engineering advice, programs and training to
regional operations management and appropriate personnel in one or
more functional area (mechanical).
- Develop and participate in the development of technical
protection and maintenance programs in one or more functional area
that is compatible with company, operational, governmental and
safety requirements.
- Assist operations management in the implementation, operation
and modification of established programs.
- Conduct periodic reviews/audits to assure program, procedure
and code compliance. Make recommendations and coordinate activities
between regions to resolve deficiencies or other operational
problems.
- Provide engineering/technical guidance and training to
appropriate regional personnel in areas of functional
accountability.
- Act as a consultant for regional operations personnel to
identify and resolve problems, analyze malfunctions or make complex
modifications or repairs in assigned functional areas.
- Develop or coordinate the development and implementation of
region-wide plans in assigned functional areas. Monitor and report
on program status or plans.
- Provide technical leadership to staff. (45%- 50%)
- Provide technical input to assist in development of project
planning. (45% - 50%)
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or
assigned. (0 - 5%)
Communications / Contacts :
- Internal - Operations management; technical specialists;
operations and maintenance teams.
- External - Contractors, vendors, customers, industry
representatives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited
institution.
- Five years of industry experience as a practicing engineer
preferred.
- Advanced technical degree or registration as a licensed
professional engineer in a state served by client
preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including
presentation skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills and leadership
abilities.
- -Requires engineering degree in specific discipline (Mechanical
engineering) and 0-4 years engineering experience.
