Overview Elkhorn Mechanical and Combustion is looking for a skilled
and experienced Boiler Burner Technician to join our growing field
operations team. This full-time, hands-on role is ideal for a
technician with a strong foundation in commercial HVAC systems and
specialized knowledge in boiler or burner systems. You’ll be
responsible for start-up, service, troubleshooting, and repairs on
a variety of projects—often running multiple jobs simultaneously.

ownership of complex technical challenges, and has a flexible
approach to scheduling for critical plant shutdowns and other

another job. Key Responsibilities Perform start-ups, diagnostics,
service, and repairs on commercial boiler and burner systems.
Troubleshoot a wide range of HVAC and combustion issues
independently and efficiently. Manage multiple active jobs while
maintaining high standards of quality and communication. Respond to
planned and unplanned service calls, including occasional
after-hours work (e.g., plant shutdowns). Collaborate with project
managers and team members to ensure work is completed on time and
to spec. Maintain safe, clean job sites and comply with all safety
protocols. Provide feedback on system design, installation quality,
and field performance. Ensure accurate documentation of service
performed and materials used. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of
experience in commercial HVAC or direct boiler burner work.
Associate degree in HVAC or a related field preferred. Advanced
training in boilers and burners is highly desirable. Strong
troubleshooting and mechanical skills across diverse systems. Able
to manage multiple jobs, deadlines, and client expectations
effectively. Excellent verbal communication and customer service
skills. Reliable, safety-conscious, and self-directed. Benefits
