Technician – Lvl I/II Position Overview: The Installation and
Service Technician – Level I/II is responsible for the overall
development and implementation of various installation and
maintenance services related to DC Power and Telecommunications
equipment in Wireless and Landline environments. The person in this
position will provide these services in the field at customer sites
as well as in the HM Cragg corporate facility. Reporting
Relationship: The Installation and Service Technician – Level I/II
reports to the Service Manager Responsibilities/Accountabilities ·
Performs additions, removals, and modifications on working
equipment and circuits under supervision of a Level III or IV: DC
Power Plant installations VLA (Flooded) and VRLA Battery additions,
removals and replacements Secondary DC Power additions, removals
and replacements Run, Test and Terminate Alarms Installation of
common wireless equipment such as Fuse Panels, and other DC Power
Equipment · Performs the following work activities with
supervision: Addition or removal of common systems equipment and
hardware Addition or removal of wiring connections on non-working
equipment Lead verification and continuity testing Analysis of job
specifications, drawings, and documentation Circuit modifications
Power transition work Addition or removal of batteries Addition or
removal of circuits on working power distribution sources · Adheres
to the installation methods and standards per Telcordia
GR-1275-CORE and/or customers' installation standards ·
Demonstrates proper operation of basic tools and test equipment ·
Supplies and organizes trucks with all equipment necessary to
perform job functions at various sites. · Continually trains and
develops to advance to next levels of Installation and Service
Technician · Adheres to all company and industry safety policies
and procedures · Adheres to the applicable customer, industry and
manufacturers maintenance/installation methods and standards ·
Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and
knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements · Perform other
assignments as assigned Note: This position SHALL NOT perform work
operations or job activities on working equipment or live circuits
without the direct supervision of a qualified Level IV Technician.
Skills/Knowledge · Ability to take direction, communication and
supervision from Project Manager, Service Manager and upper levels
of management · Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Excellent attendance record · Demonstrates proper use of material
handling equipment · Demonstrates basic electrical knowledge
experience · Demonstrates proper operation of basic tools and test
equipment · Proactively stays up to date on safety training,
compliance and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements · Adheres
to company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and Safety

to 75% depending on customer needs Qualifications: · High school
diploma · Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience or
equivalent experience as determined by HMC management · Ability to
work at various heights · Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs
(and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis · Ability to
maintain a valid driver's license · Ability to obtain Class C
Commercial Driver's License with Hazardous Material Endorsement ·
Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug
