Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesProduct Management:* Develop and implement strategic and tactical product line plans taking into consideration market conditions, customer expectations, competitor market placement, distribution channels, financial and administrative implications, implementation costs, and overall division strategy, in order to achieve product line profit objectives.* In cooperation with appropriate internal and external parties, direct and manage the product design and development activity for assigned product line to ensure that quality, profitable products are released to the market within expense parameters and cycle time requirements.Monitor the financial and non-financial analysis of product line profitability (statutory, value-added, GAAP, expense allowable, etc.) and take appropriate corrective actions to ensure financial objectives are met.Collaboration with Product Support Functions:* Matrix manage division-wide functional resources including distribution, marketing, compliance, pricing, underwriting, client services, financial analysis, and business systems to assure that sales of assigned product meet Division underwriting, profit and administrative guidelines.Working Relationships:* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal parties and external contacts. The person in this job typically has no direct reports, however, in collaboration with functional area management, does direct and coordinate the work of others for projects and work assignments.Industry/Product Knowledge:* Maintain continuous awareness of competitor services and products, federal and state regulations, and emerging technologies.Qualifications* Thorough knowledge and experience in banking and financial services industries* Strong business and industry background and knowledge of product line* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, diverse and growth-oriented environment* Personal computer skills include various software packages, including word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail and presentation, and banking systems* Excellent leadership, human relations, and project management skills* Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving and customer relations skills* Strong negotiation, analytical, decision-making, planning and organizational skills* Seasoned experience in product management, pricing, underwriting, distribution, client services, marketing, project management, operations, and financial reporting* Proven verbal and written communication skills, human relations, organizational, problem solving, analytical, management, and customer service skills* Strong negotiation skills and sound judgment
