Job Summary: Valmont is seeking a highly motivated individual and leader who seeks to improve innovatively business performance within various corporate environments in a highly matrixed environment. The successful candidate will operate at a strategic level with an entrepreneurial attitude and possess the necessary planning, selling (internal and external), delivery and support skills to deliver complex programs to mid and upper management levels in various functional areas. The successful candidate has successfully managed and implemented technologies and business programs while supporting rationalization efforts with global organizations in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and North America. The candidate has a broad experience in leveraging modern approaches (e.g. agile, design thinking) to streamline operational processes and generate business benefits through an executable strategy. Ideally the candidate is well versed in logistics, integrated supply chain and production processes for the agriculture, energy, industrial, IM&C, and/or distribution industries where his/her efforts have resulted in cost savings, high ROI's and improved operational efficiencies. The primary responsibility for this position is to lead the non-ERP VSO teams which includes but not limited to Engineering (CPQ, PLM, PDM, Drafting), Customer Relationship Management, Finance Supply Chain Management, Web Services and Marketing, Human Capital Management, and Transportation Management Applications. Essential Functions: -- This position reports to the Senior Vice President and CIO and has five direct reports and 35 indirect reports (these will change over time) -- Domestic and international travel expectations are up to 40% with overnight stays -- Must be credible and expert in a value stream and selected technologies that will become part of Valmont's footprint with main strengths in Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing for the purpose of integration into our ERP platforms -- Must be able to seek global optimization opportunities across multiple divisions and sponsor standard work processes across them and within value streams -- Ability to understand the need for technology and application consolidation with a proven experience in this area -- Accountable for individual programs and project deliveries. Support the VSO's project initiatives and collaborate with the PMO team -- Responsible in simplifying our technology footprint globally and across divisions and enforce this behavior with our VSO team and the Business Partners -- Assure scalability of solutions. Solutions that are selected must scale to our global needs both in functionality and capability -- Support the Business Partners in their quest for business unit optimization. Be consultative and entrepreneurial and drive business solutions to real problems before the business brings them to us -- Collaborate with all Business Partners to understand the individual divisional and product line needs. Integrate themselves as part of our business community across all product lines and corporate functions. -- Responsible for the decommissioning of redundant, non-strategic and obsolete applications -- Provide learning opportunities about their value stream and processes/applications of coverage to the Business Partners and the businesses -- Architect solutions that can be adapted globally with an understanding of general business requirements and market trends in the areas of focus for Valmont -- Vendor management/relationships in regards to the systems supported. Support VSO's contract and vendor management activities including but not limited to negotiations Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): -- Preferred Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or Associate's Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or 15+ years of relevant experience with emphasis in business, computer science, engineering or related field -- IT professional level experience with a minimum of five years mid to upper management experience in IT with multiple ERP applications, most predominately QAD, IFS and SAP in a manufacturing environment -- Experience with global and multinational companies -- Ability to work in a highly matrix organization -- Must show a career track of progressive IT and accompanying business roles. Experience should include roles in deploying business applications and system design. -- Proven track record in the management of 50+ personnel teams -- Able to travel globally - approximately 40% -- Proven oral and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information in multiple languages -- Familiarity/expertise in lean, agile, waterfall, design thinking methodologies and approaches -- Full life-cycle program management experience -- Ability to execute in the following areas:

• Team building and staff leadership. Ability to identify skill gaps.
• IT policies and procedures development
• Strategic business visioning and planning
• Relationship building at C-Level
• Vendor selection, negotiations and management

Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. Incumbent must travel to company locations worldwide.
