name without discrimination. Summary/Primary Purpose:
Administration and monitoring of all Salvation Army programming
including Character Building Activities, gym programs, Youth Music
Instruction, Sunday school abd Summer Camps. To assist in all
ministries and programs of the Salvation Army and assist the corps
officer. The Corps Program Director will experience the holistic
ministry and mission of The Salvation Army. This will require that
duties and responsibilities be adjusted as Corps programming and
needs change with seasons, training emphasis and local service
priorities, all carries the intent of giving a well-rounded
experience and exposure to Salvation Army programming and
leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Character Building programs, youth music
instruction, Sunday School (leadership recruitment, training and
retention; VBS, bi-annual Sunday School promotions).
- Attend and participate in Sunday education and worships
activities each week. Including planning, leading meetings,
preaching, teaching and supporting others in these roles.
- Assist in coordinating Red Kettle Fund Raising Campaign.
- Participation in and development of community center, core
corps programs and outreach opportunities to the Campus and
community.
- Effectively and responsively relate to diverse populations with
dignity, respect, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Promote Salvation Army programs and events.
- Comply with Safe From Harm requirements at all times.
- Attendance at events outside of normal working hours to include
weekends may be required.
- All other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities :
Supervise youth and program participants, volunteers, community
service workers and paid bell ringers. Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma. Qualifications: The requirements listed below
are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability
required for this position.
- Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or
tasks simultaneously
- The ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data
via a web-based system.
- Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office
equipment, data entry, 10-key, attention to detail and filing.
- Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating
in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients,
co-workers and supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to,
such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner;
courteous treatment of staff, visitors and clients; respect of
others' property and person; and professional and appropriate
communication to and about clients, co-workers and
supervisors.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters. Other
Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must
possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you
reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety
Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on
Salvation Army business. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm
training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation
Army. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: n/a Physical
Requirements: The physical demands described here are

successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
