Job Description:
Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is
responsible for ownership of all FP&A activities across Hudl.
This role will be responsible for designing and preparing the
processes for financial forecasts and budgets, performing financial
analysis and modeling, as well as analyzing, interpreting, and
communicating financial information to management and other key
stakeholders. This role is not open to full-time remote work. We
are looking for someone within commuting distance of our Omaha or
Lincoln offices. A hybrid schedule is certainly something we are
open to, but we need someone who can come into the office to
interact with the senior stakeholders and finance team.
You are
- Experienced in FP&A. You have at least 12 years of work
experience in financial planning, including experience preparing
and communicating financials to board members of a mis-size/large
organization. You have also led other senior finance professionals,
developed financial models, and played a role in
mergers/acquisitions. Preference will be given to candidates with
experience in technology/SaaS industry and those with a
CPA.
- An effective communicator of financial data. You can tell
stories with data to a variety of audiences, from board members to
internal senior leadership to commercial partners to
investors.
- A forecasting guru. You are able to leverage the resources
around you to develop short and long term models to help the
company meet our financial goals. At a fast-growth SaaS company, a
diligent and structured approach is crucial to an effective
forecasting process.
- A strategic business partner. You are able to work closely with
business units to understand business structure and operational
initiatives and provide financial analysis and reporting support.
You and your team help analyze potential strategic investments
while keeping up with ongoing business support reporting/tasks.
You will
- Oversee reporting and communication of financial results. You
will lead the preparation of Executive and Board level financial
reports and communication on a monthly and quarterly basis, prepare
detailed management discussion and analysis (MD&A) reports, and
be responsible for regulatory reporting as needed. Your team will
also design and prepare standard and ad-hoc reports that support
conclusions and recommendations to management and appropriately
communicate with internal and external parties.
- Forecast for the short and long-term. You'll develop, manage,
and refine the company's monthly, annual, and long-range financial
planning processes, ensuring close coordination and accountability
of key stakeholders. Design and analyze financial statement
analysis and KPI's forecasting, as well as develop process for
rolling quarterly forecasts and annual budget processes for the
entire global organization.
- Support business units. Develop ongoing financial analysis to
support both Corporate and Business Unit level strategic
objectives.
- Assist with analysis of strategic investments and initiatives.
include overall responsibility for financial modeling and
conclusions on financial viability of the initiative.
- Lead others formally and influence the organization. This role
will oversee two other Directors and their analysts on the org
chart. In addition to formal management responsibilities, this
leader will help build a culture of data-driven, financially sound
