Job Description:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Transportation and Warehousing you will manage the coordination and movement of materials throughout the plant and warehouse, outside storage and yards; look for opportunities for improvement in material storage and flow, process and reporting and systems improvements. Lead Material Handlers and Warehouse Loaders in all aspects of interplant logistics and warehouse operations; manage the operating life of material handling assets and building infrastructure to enable correct products to be in the correct location in correct amounts in a cost-effective manner. Follow all Food Safety and Quality Standards specifically SQF systems.Position ResponsibilitiesMonitor safety within the department to guarantee a safe and efficient operationOversee training program for forklift operatorsEnsure compliance with all regulatory agencies and local plant policiesDrive plant and department OIR targets and safety goalsResponsible for compliance of HACCP and all quality programsMonitor work methods to manage overall product to meet quality goalsManage, direct and control warehouse activities over all inventory levels on all shifts. Coordinate with ConAgra Fleet to ensure effective movement of productSupport SAP systems, all training, and adherence to achieve plant goalsDirect Leadership in ConAgra Performance Systems, implementation and executionDirectly coordinate shipping and receiving with plant locations and IMC'sManage outside warehouse by reviewing cost of storage and palletizingHelp develop cost savings by participation in special projects and continuously improving warehouse processLead and engage team members to in improve systems and processes.Lead by example and demonstrates corporate and plant values.Maintain team's adherence to employee handbook, GMP's and other plant policies and procedures.Coach team in personal accountability, giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications and external interactionsTroubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis.Seek and provide resources for the team and provide necessary training to assist the team in reaching their goals.Conduct frequent Safety coaching and implement safe work practices.Lead team in tracking and understanding Key Performance Indicators, Gap Analysis, and creating action plans to address performance gaps.Promote CPS concepts everyday through coaching and auditing of team members.Provide frequent informal and periodic formal job performance feedback to team.Facilitate and react to non-routine and crisis situations.Position QualificationsBachelors' Degree in a supply chain, logistics or business-related field preferredMinimum five (5) years leading high performance teams and engaging team members to improve results including employee hiring and retention and development, performance reviews and discipline.Plant warehousing experienceManage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.Manage and prioritize one's own time consistent with the needs of the businessForward-thinking and prepare action plans to achieve resultsProject management proficiencyPerform formal root cause analysis to identify and resolve downtime/inefficient operational issues.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel (advance functions) PowerPointSelf-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to travel 30-40%Our Modern Workplace:Conagra's culture of collaboration enhances our ability to meet critical business goals, deliver value to customers and consumers and provide you with the flexibility you need to achieve a better work-life balance.
