Vice President of Operations Omaha, NE, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1783 Position SummaryThe Vice President of Operations is a member of the leadership team and leads all manufacturing and operations aspects of the organization. Provides critical strategic and day-to-day management support in the area of manufacturing & operations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesIndicate "Essential Functions" with Asterisk (*)

• Implement manufacturing operations strategy in alignment with company plan and customer needs
• Create and execute policies and programs to maximize capacity and ensure high quality and low costs
• Develop an adaptable organization to handle new technologies resulting from alliances from manufacturing and supply chain perspective
• Lead manufacturing organization for establishing teamwork and morale and develop plans for manufacturing and plant staff
• Enhance product lines gross margins
• Ensure interface and sound relationships with regulatory agencies like FDA and notified bodies
• Guarantee excellent communications in organization at corporate level with strong internal communication
• Understand master sanitation and environmental cleaning plans, food manufacturing product composition and allergen programs
• Set up cost control standards, waste reduction and production processes to maximize goods manufacturing
• Create production tracking and quality control systems and analyze productions to determine problems and suggest processing and staffing changes
• The incumbent understands and complies with all food safety policies, procedures and programs as stated in the Company's Food Safety Manual.
• Participate as a functional member of the food safety team and enforce the Food Safety Manual policies. This includes collaborating, leading, and supporting Quality Assurance in order to resolve food safety issues.The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the incumbent will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and classification of the position.   • A minimum of 10 years progressive experience in manufacturing operations with progressive experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, following and understanding LEAN/Six Sigma manufacturing methods and thinking processes.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Proficient in Excel, MS ProjectQualifications
    • Minimum Education Required: Undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, business management or other relevant discipline. An MBA or master's degree is strongly preferred.
