innovation. Position Overview: The Trade Execution Manager has
primary responsibility for the entire execution process of the
business unit including transportation movements and documentation.
This role manages the documentation and logistics teams within the
business. The Trade Execution Manager manages the shipment
execution of contracts from Scoular owned facilities and/or
third-party vendors to the customer. This position builds
relationships with vendors across the entire supply chain and
utilizes creative solutions to minimize cost, add value to the
customer experience and create further efficiency in the supply
chain. This role will be intimately tied to the business to bring
logistics solutions to further drive the business. The Trade
Execution Manager is responsible to oversee shipment planning and
execution of shipment contracts from origin to destination. This
position has flexibility to be located in Omaha, NE or Minneapolis,
MN Job Responbilites: Trade Execution (Logistics & Documentation)
Negotiate rates and explore options, leveraging supply chain
relationships ensuring Scoular obtains and maintains the most
competitive rates and service as it relates to rail service
providers, trucking companies, port transloaders, ocean freight
forwarders and/or ocean ship lines. Solidify strategic
partnerships, striving for Scoular to be a first-class customer,
and receive first-class service from providers.Accountable for any
performance issues that can affect shipment execution and relay
information and intel to appropriate stakeholders. Working with
team to put contingency plans in place to further mitigate risks to
Scoular.Communicate and follow up with all parties involved to make
sure all required docs are received correctly and in a timely
manner.Understand the import permit requirements for each country
and customerRespond to customer inquiries and communicate with
customers and internal stakeholders to provide updates regarding
assigned shipment.Assess transportation market trends, port
capabilities and other external factors that can affect shipment
execution and relay market intel to appropriate stakeholders.
Review industry best practices and benchmarks and apply where
relevant to Scoular.Oversee, implement, and maintain detailed
procedures, manuals and resources required for the team to
efficiently fulfill their duties. Ensure the information available
to the team is relevant and current in all locations. Ensure
compliance with all regulatory and company policies, procedures,
and administrative responsibilities.Responsible for reporting
relevant metrics, key performance indicators and implement team
goals that are aligned with company strategic objectives.Possess
in-depth knowledge of port transloading and ocean freight including
specific procedures and processes to guide and assist your
team.Understand the overall global supply chain as it relates to
the various business units we support. Participate in cross
training or job shadowing initiatives to share your expertise and
understand other roles that contribute to the success of the
business units.Coordinate and collaborate with internal corporate
resources to ensure compliance with all Scoular policies (HR,
Finance, Accounting, Legal, Quality etc) and leverage strong
relationships.In-depth knowledge of port transloading and ocean
freight including, specific procedures and processes to guide and
assist your team.Build relationships with vendors and internal and
external stakeholders while employing innovative solutions to
minimize cost and create added efficiency across the entire supply
chain in support of the overall strategic vision of
Scoular.Identify and implement transformative digital solutions
that ensure our supply chain is optimal to our stakeholders and
internal operations.Stay up to date on logistics trends and risks
and think proactively and strategically on how to address.Team
Leadership Manage a team and be accountable for the execution of
the doc team and international logistics team.Guide the logistics
and documentation team so their decisions support optimal
efficiencies in our shipment execution, with a focus on mitigating
costs and limiting risk. Ensuring shipments are executed within
contractual requirements, leading to an ideal customer
experience.Coach, support, and motivate the teams to achieve
collective optimal performance. Provide timely feedback, practicing
consistent team governance and advocating for the team. Engage team
members in crucial conversations as required to address performance
concerns.Prioritize tasks, projects and accountabilities for the
team. Manage time and workloads effectively to ensure achievement
of individual, departmental and companywide goals and
objectives.Navigate the team through various changes in support of

experience3+ years experience in agriculture, logistics or related
field.2+ years people management experience.Demonstrated leadership
skills with strong business acumen and ability to drive forward and

and relationship building capability.Highly skilled in problem
solving techniques.Direct people leadership experience and strong
people management skills with proven ability to develop high
performing teams. Must possess strong communication and
problem-solving skills, including aptitude for implementing
continuous improvement opportunitiesCustomer service skills with a
positive, persuasive, and credible attitude. Strong computer
literacy and the ability to utilize standard office systems.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced
environment. Preferred:5+ years of experience in the agriculture
supply chain industry with increasing responsibility.
