Creighton University is seeking to hire a Research Lab Technician III for the Hereditary Cancer Center. This is a full-time, grant funded, 12 month position. Key Responsibilities Support Dr. Yusi Fu s research on exploring molecular biomarkers during cancer development for the prevention and treatment of cancers of the ovary and endometrium, developing new sequencing related methodologies to advance cancer early detection. Fulfill the role of Laboratory technician for Dr. Fu s early cancer detection and diagnosis mission, perform technical and administrative duties for Fu Lab. The candidate will work on state-of-the-art high throughput single-cell genomics and cancer evolution studies.

• Process samples and perform molecular experiments
• Harvests cell cultures and maintain cultures
• Documents and generate experimental reports
• Maintain equipment, order supply, and manage chemical inventories Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in related field of Science required 5+ years research lab experience Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Strong ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
    • Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook
