Job Description:

Children s Hospital & Medical Center, with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is currently recruiting faculty to join the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology. The Division consists of 28 board certified pediatric anesthesiologists and five CRNAs (overseeing over 15,000 anesthetics annually) across three campuses: CHMC, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and a pediatric ambulatory surgery center. The division offers ACGME pediatric anesthesiology fellowship and residency training. Children s is the only full-service, free standing pediatric health care center in Nebraska, providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to children across a five-state region and beyond. Children s is home to Nebraska s only Level IV regional NICU and the state s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The new Hubbard Center for Children is home to an additional 100 patient beds, an expanded NICU, a dedicated Cardiac Care Unit, a new Cancer & Blood Disorders Unit, expanded surgical space including intra-operative MRI, an expanded Radiology and Emergency Department and more. The Child Health Research Institute was established in 2017 and aims to assist investigators with start-up funding and infrastructure for clinical, basic science or translational research. The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology and will receive an appointment at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in the appropriate academic rank. Clinical and translational research interests are strongly desired and supported, and the department has two basic science labs focused on preclinical research with both intramural and extramural grant funding.
