The Academic Success Counselor/Case Manager is responsible for developing and providing services to evaluate and enhance students capabilities to help them succeed in educational programs in the CU Health Sciences. S/he will teach time management and study skills and coordinate tutoring for any students needing additional academic support and will consult with and advise students in the Ambassador and Summer programs. S/he proactively addresses students who may have academic concerns and provides necessary resources to enhance the students capabilities toward succeeding in the educational programs. This role will coordinate tutoring for any students needing additional instruction, help students achieve the appropriate level of study, and collect and monitor student grades. Key Responsibilities

• Support students in achieving academic success through individual assessments, 1:1 counseling sessions, workshop development, and small/large group presentations.
• Develop individual education plans, direct small group critical thinking sessions, conduct skills training sessions, develop, and implement tutoring and other educational programs, etc. for university medical students.
• Conduct needs assessments and evaluates the effectiveness of various academic support programs.
• Research related topics, develops program materials, implements programs, and delivers training as needed.
• Develops, provides administrative supervision, and monitors the effectiveness of the faculty advising and mentoring program. Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Master s in health education preferred
  • 2-4 years related coordination of programs experience Creighton Universitys Health Sciences Multicultural and Community Affairs (HS-MACA) has embraced diversity on campus, in the community and globally.
