Medical Laboratory Science Program Instructor (Part-Time)
GENERAL REQUISITION INFORMATION
Vaccination Requirement The University of Nebraska Medicine Center
( UNMC ) requires COVID -19 vaccinations for all students, staff,
and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they
have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a
recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a
pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means
having received one dose of a single dose COVID -19 vaccine
(Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID -19
vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).
As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC , you will be/are
required to comply with the UNMC's vaccination protocol.
Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5)
days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full
vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption.
Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial
vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date
to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires,
rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical
or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from
exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance
with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with
no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be
separated.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's degree If any degree major/training
is required, please specify the type. (NOTE: Concentration and
minors are not equivalent to a major) Medical Laboratory Science,
Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or related
field.
Required Experience 2 years If any experience is required, please
specify what kind of experience: Experience as a Medical Laboratory
Science professional of which one year must include teaching.
Required License Yes If yes, what is the required
licensure/certification? MLS , MT ( ASCP ), or AMT
certification
