Job Description:
Children s Hospital & Medical Center, with the University of
Nebraska College of Medicine, is currently recruiting a Division
Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology. We seek candidates at the
Associate Professor or Professor rank who have administrative,
academic and clinical practice management experience within a
complex, pediatric tertiary care medical center. The successful
candidate will be board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology with
strong clinical and leadership experience. In addition to the
administrative responsibilities of this position, the individual
will share in the clinical responsibilities with six faculty
members and an established APP team. This leader will be
responsible for developing and implementing the clinical,
educational, research and advocacy goals of the institution for
Endocrinology and will hold a faculty position at the University of
Nebraska College of Medicine. Investigators will be given adequate
packages and protected time for research. We seek individuals with
strong emotional and social intelligence and a demonstrated ability
to connect with others in a meaningful way at all levels of the
organization, especially hospital and university leadership. Strong
leadership skills and the ability to develop trust and work
cooperatively in a diverse and inclusive environment are essential.
Children s Hospital & Medical Center is a 225-bed nonprofit

full-service, pediatric specialty health center in Nebraska,
providing expertise in more than 50 pediatric specialty services to

Center for Children opened in August 2021 and is home to Nebraska s
only Level IV regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Fetal Care

Institute, an innovative partnership between UNMC and Children s
