Job Summary:

In a career as a Patient Care Technician, you join is in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In this role, you will provide support of rooming patients in preparation for the provider visit; as well as related duties in the clinical setting.

Schedule: Flexible scheduling opportunities including Full Time, Part-Time, and On-Call. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Provides patient care and education according to the patient population served.
  • Assists with the rooming of patients by taking height, weight, head circumference and vital signs.
  • Documents all data accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Assists with the cleaning of exam rooms and clinical equipment as per policy.
  • Assists with opening and closing duties (ie: prepare exam rooms and equipment, cabinets and supply rooms unlocked/ locked, lab specimens in pick-up bins, shred folders emptied, workstations organized).
  • Stocks supplies in the clinic rooms throughout the day.
  • Assists with monitoring of expiration dates.
  • Maintains "The Joint Commission" standards on an ongoing basis and assists in clinic responsibilities for readiness for Joint Commission visits.
  • Participates in department performance improvement activities.
  • Provides patient care and education according to the patient population served. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to utilize a variety of computer programs to manage work.
    • Ability to maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with public, other consumers and other employees. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      • High school diploma or equivalent required.
      • CPR (BLS) certification required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
