  • A nursing position is available in a high flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • The unit seeks positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome challenges.
    • Job Requirements
    • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
    • RNs are required to titrate drips.
    • Charge Nurse responsibilities include having an assignment.
    • Nurse aids/patient care techs duties and ratios are specified.
    • RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 for 6-week scheduling periods.
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
      • Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with permanent staff.
      • Floating requirements include Med/Surg and all areas in the hospital depending on abilities.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • 28 beds in the unit.
        • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:04
        • Specialty equipment available: Code Carts, LUCAS Machines, hoyer lift, Sit and Stand
          • Additional Details
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients include adults from the ER, Mixed Medical/Surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients.
          • Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Heparin, octreotide, insulin, etc.
          • A Charge Nurse is present on each shift.
          • Tele/Monitor Techs are present on the unit.
          • Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue
