  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days: 1:4, Nights: 1:5
  • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Oncology and Trauma
  • Are RN's required to titrate drips? Yes
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Chemotherapy occasionally
  • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes
  • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Duties? Yes

    • - Certifications Required: BLS
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other
      • Holiday Requirements: Negotiated
      • Floating Requirements: Yes, to same level of care
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Ratios? Yes- 1:10
        • Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit: Tele techs will interpret, RNs should have some tele awareness
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? Navy Blue
        • Number of shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 2- 12 hour shifts on the unit
