At the end of each shift, you will feel the reward and pride in the services and support you provide that allow clients and families to live a joyful life together at home!What you'll be doingOur Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses work in our clients' home providing skilled medical care. Schedules are based on the client and the family needs. No two clients are alike. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Complete assessments, medication administration, and provide therapies, treatments, and interventions as scheduled in accordance with the plan of care and physicians orders.Partner with all members of the interdisciplinary team including the family, ensuring a constant flow of communication regarding the clients cares, changes in condition, developmental goals, etc.Provide support and education to clients and families to help them be successful.Build rapport and trust with clients, families or other caregivers, the office team, and peers to facilitate effective communication and build relationships.Complete timely charting through our electronic medical record system.Keep up to date with the clients plan of care, changes in conditions, physicians orders, family, or caregiver requests, etc.Advocate for the client and family to promote and support growth and development.Examples of some of our nursing cares include gastrostomy tubes, jejunostomy tubes, nasogastric tubes, PICCs, PORTs, tracheostomies, seizure disorders, etc.Whats required?Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure, without restrictionsValid drivers license and proof of auto liability insurance coverageCPR certification required but may be obtained after hireCOVID-19 vaccine compliance or an exemption will be offeredAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 poundsWho we are looking for?Models Universal Pediatrics values: Integrity, Compassion, Adaptability, Responsibility and ExcellenceManages multiple tasks and process information from multiple different sourcesWorks and communicates professionally with clients, families and caregivers, physicians, peers, supervisors, and office team membersCulturally sensitive; possess the ability to recognize individual differences to manage relationships and interactions with othersMaintain confidentialityUniversal Pediatrics is an equal employment opportunity employer.As a healthcare entity, Universal Pediatrics adheres to CMS, CDC, OSHA, and state and local requirements regarding COVID safety.
