Overview Join our dynamic team at Nebraska Medicine as a CT
Technologist, performing high-quality CT exams across multiple
campuses in a Level 1 trauma center environment. This role requires
proficiency in a wide range of CT procedures, strong interpersonal
skills, and a commitment to maintaining department standards.
General Job Duties - Perform high-quality CT exams, including
Neuro, Body, MSK, CTAs, IR procedures (biopsies, ablations, drain
removals), 3D reformats, colonography, enterography, urograms,
trauma scans, and dual-energy imaging. - Ensure scan times align
with department benchmarks and team standards. - Demonstrate
effective interpersonal and communication skills with patients,
physicians, families, students, and healthcare personnel. - Conduct
quality assurance (QA) and ensure department compliance with
stocking and regulatory standards. - Maintain competency in all
department procedures and show willingness to learn new techniques.
Equipment Utilized - GE CT Scanners: 8 scanners (4-256 slice, 3-64
slice, 1-16 slice). - EPIC EMR: For patient documentation. -
McKesson PACS: For image management. - Bar Code Medication
Administration: For safe medication delivery. Required Skills and
Experience - Proficiency in computer systems, including basic
navigation and email applications. - Strong communication and
multitasking abilities. - Capability to handle challenging patient
interactions and escalate issues to management appropriately. -
Preferred: Experience in a Level 1 trauma center and hospital
setting. - Minimum Experience: No specific years required, but
hospital experience preferred. Licensures and Certifications -
Required: Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography and
Radiography; State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer License. -
Preferred: Computed Tomography certification; Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification. Shift and Schedule Requirements -
Collaborative work environment; employees always work with at least
one other staff member. - Call Requirements: 1 overnight call every
9 weekdays (Monday–Friday) and 1 weekend call every 13 weekends. -

Floating within the CT department to other campus locations, all
under the same manager. Department Details - Number of Scanners: 8
CT scanners across multiple campuses. Dress Code - Red scrubs
(scrub top with Nebraska Medicine emblem or red t-shirt with
Nebraska Medicine emblem). Training and Orientation - 6-Week
Orientation Program: Includes training at various locations with an
assigned preceptor for consistent education and protocol
communication. - Covers IV line education, department-specific
processes, and key contact information. - Mid-point evaluation at 3
weeks to assess progress and identify areas for improvement. About
