hospital License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
Must-Have: - Epic charting experience - Prior experience with mixed
acuity (medical-surgical/telemetry & stepdown) - Ability to care
for multiple patients Description: Requirements include no requests
for time off. Must start on time. This is an 8-week contract with
36 or 48-hour options. RNs will care for up to five
medical-surgical patients. The unit specializes in neurology and
neurosurgery. Patient population includes strokes, aneurysms,
seizures, spinal fusions, and other neurological conditions. On the
medical-surgical/telemetry floors, the patient ratio is 1:5 days
and 1:6 nights. Night ratios can be as high as 1:7, though this is
rare. In the stepdown unit, the patient ratio is 1:3-4, days and
nights. Two years of prior experience is required. Drips are
required on all floors. Travelers will float within their scope to
meet facility needs. The workforce includes CNAs, care techs,
transport team, and paramedics. All travelers must be
nicotine-free. Weekends will include four weekend shifts out of
eight possible in a four-week period. Days will be Saturday and
Sunday, while nights will be Friday and Saturday. No local
candidates will be accepted. Pending licenses will be accepted, but
proof is required within 48 hours. Scrubs are mandatory with
specific colors and branding. Compliance document deadlines are
required prior to the start date. All contracts must end on a
Sunday. This facility is 100% nicotine-free and enforces strict
policies regarding tobacco use. Please ensure all qualifications
and requirements are met before submission. Travelers must attend a
mandatory charting class during the first week.
