Experience in caring for critically ill patients - Ability to float
within scope to meet facility needs Description: This is a 20-bed
critical care unit providing care to critically ill patients. The
staff delivers expert care for various medical illnesses, including
respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, liver
failure, overdoses, and septic shock. The patient ratios are 1:2-3
during the day and 1:2-3 during the night. Registered Nurses should
be prepared to care for up to five Med Surg patients. Staffing
includes care teams with CNAs, care techs, transport teams, and
paramedics. LPNs are assigned to some floors. This facility is a
100% nicotine-free environment. Weekend shifts consist of 4 weekend
shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Holiday requirements
include working 2 out of 3 major holidays. Requested time off (RTO)
must be submitted with the application. Travelers must work a
mandatory charting class during the orientation week. RNs are
required to wear designated scrubs with specific branding. Nicotine
use may jeopardize contract status. All contracts must end on a
Sunday. Travelers must go into labs within 48-72 hours from
