Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,548 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 20 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 20 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, Intro to Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Ability to circulate in the Operating Room Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. Competency in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care is essential. The role includes floating to Postpartum as needed. The unit has 16 labor rooms and 36 postpartum beds. There are 3 Operating Room suites for C-sections and a 7-bed triage unit. Daily, the unit handles up to 400 births per month. The nurse will be expected to titrate drips, including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate. Charge nurses are present on both shifts and take assignments. There are 2 OB technicians per shift to assist with duties. An OB/neonatologist team is available on-site 24/7. CRNAs are also present in-house around the clock. The nursing staff will troubleshoot respiratory equipment, such as nasal cannulas. Tele-monitoring is available in recovery after C-sections, with RNs required to read their own strips. Electronic Fetal Monitoring system is used for tracking. Shift hours are from 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700. Nurses are required to work every third weekend, with potential for more frequent shifts based on unit needs. Holiday requirements include one major and one minor holiday. Successful candidates will demonstrate teamwork, a positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn. RTO should be provided upfront, with limited approval for additional requests. The hospital reserves the right to cancel shifts under specific conditions.
