Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,242 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68101! ID: 75393517 Shift: 12H Nights 12 hr nights Description: Unit Notes:* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * *Department: PCU*Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS*Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract- Beds: 28- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, generally patients that arrive through the ER, Mixed Medical/Surgical along with cardiac and stroke patients- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, octreotide, insulin, maintenance dosages of IV meds (non-titratable)- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:14- Specialty Equipment Available: Code Carts, LUCAS Machines, hoyer lift, Sit and Stand- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit?: Tele yes - RNs must be able to read and interpret- Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 / 6 week scheduling. Scheduling is done by unit schedulers- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend- Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with perm staff- Floating Requirements: Med/Surg and to all areas in the hospital, depending on abilities, including ICU/ED for appropriate types of patient care- Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: First week is classroom orientation, then 2- 12 hour shifts- Additional Notes: This is a high flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges. Looking for positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome challenges. Having a unit secretary 2-3 days/week and a stocking clerk 3 days/weekRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
