Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,052 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified MICU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical ICU (MICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in a large, urban hospital License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Experience with drips required - Must float to meet facility needs Description: This is a 20-bed critical care unit that provides care to critically ill patients. The staff provides expert care for a variety of medical illnesses, including respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, liver failure, overdoses, and septic shock. Patient ratios are 1:2-3 during the day and 1:2-3 at night. RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the unit. Travelers are the first to float as needed, which may include floating to different units within the facility. Weekend shifts require four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. Travelers must work two out of three major holidays. This facility is 100% nicotine-free. RNs are required to wear designated scrubs with facility branding. All nurses must demonstrate competency in managing complex medical conditions and equipment relevant to critical care. Additional support includes care teams with techs and paramedics. The environment includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
