excellence, collaboration Description: Unit Notes: Radius rule of
50 miles applies. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or
PRN with any affiliated facility. RN's must pass a skills exam
during orientation to maintain contract eligibility. Artificial
nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.
Driver's license required for candidates outside the radius.
Department: Inpatient Rehab Common diagnoses and types of patients
include adults and geriatrics, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputee,
brain injury, critical illness, neurological diseases such as
multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's. RNs are not required to titrate
drips. Common titratable and/or set rate drips include antibiotics,
anticoagulation, and antiplatelets. A Charge Nurse is present on
each shift. Patient care techs are available on the unit with a
ratio of 1:10-15. Shifts are scheduled cyclically with a weekend
requirement of every 3rd weekend and a holiday requirement of at
least 2 holidays. There is no call or standby requirement. RNs may
float to MedSurg as needed. Orientation includes classroom training
followed by 2 shifts on the unit. RTO needed upfront (7 or fewer
days per 13-week contract). Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per
13-week assignment. Charting System used is EPIC. BSN is not
required. Trauma Level is 2. Care Setting is acute. Division is
nursing. Shift notes of 12-hour nights apply. Required
