Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Council Bluffs, IA Agency: Thrive Staffing Pay: $1,898 to $2,092 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title RN (Registered Nurse), ICU City/State: Council Bluffs, Iowa Shift: 12H Nights, 19:00:00-07:00:00 Contract Length: 12 weeks Start Date: 03/02/2026 Job Description: The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed Medical ICU. The role includes handling cases such as sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, and myocardial infarction, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1. The nurse will be involved in titrating drips, and should have experience with drips, vents, and bipaps. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the ICU Titrate vasopressors and sedation drips appropriately Coordinate with hospitalists and intensivists for patient management Participate in patient's cardiac monitoring by reading and verifying strips Float to Progressive Care Unit as needed Requirements: Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum of 2 years ICU experience preferred Ability to manage and titrate drips such as vasopressors and sedatives Familiarity with EPIC charting system Driver's license required for submitting and adherence to 50-mile radius rule Requirements Required for Onboarding Core Mandatory Part I Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing) Core Mandatory Part III
