Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Neuro RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105! Job Title: Registered
Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 -
07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a large, urban hospital
required License: Must possess a valid nursing license
Certifications: ACLS, CPI, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Epic charting
experience required - Experience in mixed acuity units - Ability to
care for up to five medical-surgical patients Description: This
position offers a 36 or 48-hour option for contract length.
Traveling nurses must be prepared to float frequently based on the
staffing needs of the facility. RNs should be aware of blackout
dates for requested time off. The unit specializes in caring for
patients with strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain
and spinal cord tumors, and other neurological conditions.
Nurse-to-patient ratios on the medical-surgical and telemetry
floors are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Night
ratios may occasionally be 1:7. Stepdown ratios are 1:3-4 for both
days and nights. All nurses are required to manage drips on all
floors. RNs must possess two years of prior experience, preferably
in a level I academic medical center. Travelers will float within
their scope to meet facility needs. Nurses will work a total of
four weekend shifts within an 8-week schedule. Holiday requirements
include working two out of three major holidays. 100% nicotine-free
workplace. Nurses are required to wear designated scrubs. All
contracts must end on a Sunday. Requested time off must be
indicated with the application. No requested time off will be
allowed during the first week of orientation. RNs must attend a
mandatory charting class. Travelers must undergo labs within 48-72
hours of accepting the offer. Documentation must be submitted by
