Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,332 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience required. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Experience in a large, urban hospital. - EPIC charting experience required. - Must have two years of experience in critical care. Description: The position is for a critical care RN in a 20-bed medical intensive care unit. Care will be provided to critically ill patients with a variety of medical illnesses. Staff provides expert care for conditions such as respiratory failure, kidney failure, liver failure, overdoses, and septic shock. Patient ratios are 1:2-3 during both days and nights. Additional floating to different units may be required to meet staffing needs. Weeks may include weekends, with a requirement of four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. Travelers must have prior experience with drips and must float within scope to meet facility needs. The facility is 100% nicotine-free, and nicotine use will not be tolerated. Holiday requirements include working 2 out of 3 major holidays. Scrubs must be worn at the facility, with specific guidelines provided upon confirmation. The nursing team includes CNAs, care techs, and transport teams. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census may fluctuate based on patient needs. The unit has interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals. The main patient diagnoses include transplants, sepsis, and acute and chronic organ failure.
