Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Neuro RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124! Job Title: Registered

weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2
years License: Required Certifications: BLS and NIHSS Must-Have:
Pass a mandatory exam on skills learned during orientation. Must
achieve a score of 90% to pass or termination may occur. Candidates
must comply with a fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails
in patient care areas. Driver's license is mandatory for
application. No license or background issues. Description: The role
involves caring for MedSurg/Telemetry patients, including those
with strokes, stable neurological deficits, and post-neurosurgery
procedures. The unit accommodates various medical/surgical overflow
cases. Patient assignments typically range from 1 nurse for every
5-6 patients. Common patient conditions include joint replacements,
fractures, COPD exacerbations, and more. Nurses are required to
manage and titrate drips, including Heparin and PCA pumps. There is
a charge nurse on each shift who may take an assignment. Patient
care technicians support the nursing staff, with a typical ratio of
1:10-20. Tele/Monitor technicians interpret strips, while nurses
should have basic tele monitoring skills. Shifts include 0630-1900
and 1830-0700 with scheduled approval for limited block scheduling.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Holiday staffing
will include 2-3 holidays between Thanksgiving and New Year.
Floating to other medical-surgical areas may be required in the
event of bed shortages. Dress code mandates navy blue scrubs.
Orientation includes two days of unit-specific training. The unit
focuses on hourly rounding and responsiveness for patient care.
Successful candidates will manage the daily operations effectively,
attend regularly, work as a team player, and demonstrate compassion
for all patients. The unit serves a diverse population, providing
care to individuals from various cultural backgrounds. The hospital
has a cancellation policy allowing for limited shifts to be
canceled during assignments. The charting system utilized is EPIC.
A BSN is not mandatory for this position. This is a trauma level 1
