Job Description Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med
Surg for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. Job Description &
Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date:
04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12
hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel 36 or 48hr option and 13 or
26 week contract option! RTO Blackout Dates due to College World
Series: 6/11/26 - 6/22/26 Travelers are first to float. RNs must be
prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the
hospital Heart & Vascular Unit - 7HVU is a 49-bed unit. It is
considered a specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast paced and
will provide growth in professional knowledge and expertise in the
care delivery of our cardiovascular patients. The staff will care
for specialty patients, such as stable heart and lung transplants,
and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs). The Cardiac Vascular Unit
is a sister unit to the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. Ratios are
1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7
(this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware). BLS, ACLS
required NIH, CPI Preferred 2 years of prior experience required
(must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital) Drips are required
on all floors EPIC charting experience required First timers NOT
accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience
at a Level l Academic Medical Center) Will float within scope to
meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue
campus). Units may include, but are not limited to 4CS, 5 West, 6
Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS,
Observation, SOTU. In addition to CNAs, care teams include care
techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some,
but not all, floors. 100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY Weekends: 4
weekend shifts out of 8 possible in an 4-week period. Days:
Saturday and Sunday. Nights: Friday night and Saturday night. RTO
restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be
submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation
at manager discretion. Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2/3
major holidays - please submit this request with application Locals
Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
