Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a 27-bed PCU specializing in oncology and trauma cases Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, educators, and dieticians Administer chemotherapy, heparin, Cardizem, and other critical medications; titrate drips such as insulin and Cardizem as needed Utilize advanced monitoring equipment including ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000), and ICP devices Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety Float to med/surg and PCU units as required, maintaining the same level of care Complete a pass/fail open book exam during orientation with a required 90% score to continue contract Qualifications & Desired Experience Current RN license with at least 1 year progressive care or oncology experience Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; Chemotherapy certification preferred but not mandatory Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred Ability to meet a 50-mile radius rule with valid drivers license Commitment to teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and delivering patient-centered care Adherence to strict fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails for patient safety Schedule & Contract Details 36 hours per week over a 13-week contract 12-hour shifts with various start times available (7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a) Every other weekend required with self-scheduling options Step into a role where your genuine care and professionalism make a profound difference.
