scope to meet facility needs Description: This role involves
working on a medical/surgical unit providing care to trauma
patients. The focus is on the acute and chronic needs of
hemodynamically and medically stable patients. The unit is
fast-paced and focuses on trauma patients admitted from various
services. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5 during the
day and 1:6 at night, with potential for 1:7 at night depending on
staffing. Floating to other units may be required to meet staffing
needs. RNs must be prepared to float frequently and will float
within their scope of practice. Four weekend shifts are required
out of eight possible in a four-week period. Travelers must work
two out of three major holidays. RTO must be submitted with the
application, and additional requests may be denied. The facility is
100% nicotine-free, and travelers must adhere to this policy. All
travelers must provide proof of current licensure and meet
compliance requirements before starting. Travelers must attend a
mandatory charting class during the first week of orientation
unless directed otherwise. Scrubs must be provided by the facility,
and travelers must adhere to the uniform policy. The role offers a
fast-paced environment with a supportive interdisciplinary team.
