Our ideal candidate has a passion for detail and sets the bar for being "Uniquely Godfathers".POSITION PURPOSE: To provide technical support to the overall operations of the Research and Development team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the R&D kitchen. This includes preparing food, ordering and receiving supplies, maintaining equipment, and general organization and cleanliness of the R&D kitchen.
• Assist with food testing, sensory evaluation, competitive review and documentation of results for product and process development, quality assurance and procurement.
• Assist with experiments, recipe development and create preparation instructions for new menu items.
• Prepare food samples for periodic testing of all ingredients as requested.
• Prepare food and materials for product showings, training and photo shoots.
• Support field operations by answering questions and obtaining information regarding products and procedures.
• Shipping, receiving, storing and inventory of product samples and packaging materials.
• Data entry and other clerical duties as assigned.
• Remaining knowledgeable of company operations and of new food technologies that could possibly improve restaurant operations.
• May be required to flex working hours on occasion to assist GPI restaurants with training & other tasks when needed.
  Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or GED
  • 1 -2 years related experience in food preparation in a restaurant, foodservice kitchen, food manufacturing facility or food lab is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to meet regulations of operating food equipment.
