Job Description:
Business: Boys Town The Clinical Systems Epic Trainer is
responsible for performing training and end user support related to
the Electronic Health Record and associated ancillary systems,
policies, procedures, and processes. No matter the role you play at

Responsibilities:
- Delivers go-live and new-hire training during system changes
and upgrades.
- Recommends and coordinates improvements and updates to training
materials. Curriculum may be eLearning, instructor-led or a blended
approach. Recommends and coordinates improvements and updates to
education delivery techniques based on evaluation processes.
- Supports clinical and/or non-clinical end users during
classroom training, implementation, and post-implementation, in a
live setting by providing on-site and remote support. Supports end
users in defining and resolving problems within the EHR or other
related applications and/or workflow processes. Supports end users
with computer system optimizations.
- Acts as a liaison between end users and technical support team,
to include information gathering, research, design, testing and
implementation of software systems.
- Maintains accurate documentation including a clear description
of the problem, the steps utilized in problem solving, and
description of the final solution.
- Applies problem-solving and critical thinking skills as
necessary to resolve issues within the scope of the position
authority.
- Conducts assessments, provides learning recommendations,
facilitates training to meet the identified needs of the end users
and routinely evaluates the training results.

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to deliver training in both classroom and virtual
training settings.
- Strong knowledge of educational program development in adult
learning.
- Knowledge of general concepts and practices that relate to the
healthcare field, and specific policies, standards, procedures and
practices that pertain to the assigned function.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records, and to
use discretion with confidential data and sensitive
information.
- Skilled in professional interactions, working with integrity,
respect, and innovation in delivering service to our
customers.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse
and multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to share knowledge efficiently, completely, and
patiently.
- Ability to provide excellent creative problem-solving
skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, software
packages, processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical personnel and

physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.

- Ability to work flexible hours. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Organizational
Development, Healthcare or Health Administration, Education or
related field required, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3 years relevant experience (preferably in a healthcare
setting) required.
- Epic experience preferred with Epic training/workflow
experience strongly preferred.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs in Adult
Education strongly preferred.
- Credentialed Epic Trainer or must obtain credential within one
month of hire.
- Ability to deliver training in both classroom and virtual
training settings.
- Strong knowledge of educational program development in adult
learning.
- Knowledge of general concepts and practices that relate to the
