Job Title: Accounting Supervisor-Payroll

Location: Omaha

Reporting to: Plant Controller/Accounting Manager

Essential Job Functions:

• Manage Weekly and Bi-weekly payroll processing
• Supervise 1-2 Accounting specialists
• Oversee Daily Payroll Time Sheet Edits and other payroll duties
• Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly audit processes
• Assist Controller with month end closing process
• Responsible for Monthly plant cash deposit
• Ongoing training of direct reports, plant supervisors and new hires in regards to payroll process and time edits
• Other duties as assigned Experience Required:
  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • 5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge or experience working in meat or food processing industry and Union environment preferred but not required
  • Experience working in Kronos or SAP systems preferred but not required Skills/Abilities Required:
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, namely Excel
    • Must be able to multi task and possess strong detail oriented analytical abilities
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays
    • Bilingual skills preferred but not required
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
