DescriptionGeneral Purpose and Scope of Position:
The People and Culture Generalist is responsible for providing support on a broad range of generalist actions that align with enterprise P&C processes and programs. The position acts as a liaison between employees, management, leadership, and the enterprise's People and Culture team. Our generalist team is focused on supporting a seamless employee experience within Wilbur-Ellis, starting from the time each applicant applies to work with us. You will have responsibility for executing enterprise support processes including onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and offboarding. You will manage various P&C responsibilities to ensure compliance with employment law. Critical to this role is the ability to successfully work with multiple priorities and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
Key Skills and Abilities:


  • Broad-based HR knowledge in multiple functions including onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, training, and performance management
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and application of state and federal employment laws and ability to research law changes
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience with and solid working knowledge of HRIS systems and programs
  • A minimum of 5 years in a Generalist position required

      Key Responsibilities and Deliverables Include:

      • Provide guidance to management and employees on human resources issues, employment law, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs
      • Assure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility
      • Support PCBPs on core program rollout of compensation and performance management programs (merit planning, bonus planning, succession planning, equity)
      • Works closely with the PCBP as needed on strategic HR initiatives that may include Performance Management, Workforce Planning, Employee Learning and Development, Diversity, Compliance, Recruitment, Exit, and/or Compensation-related action items
      • Supports the PCBP with the delivery of specific Business Unit P&C initiatives such as coaching managers on performance management, employee development, succession management
      • Leads or participates in P&C projects for the enterprise
      • Oversees/assists in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies (communication, onboarding, talent management)
      • Act as liaison between employee/P&C Coordinator and COEs if necessary to provide consultation and problem resolution
      • Reviews employee data and approves transactions in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity necessary for reporting and analysis
      • Provides and communicates accurate information to employees regarding benefit eligibility and coverage, and questions

        Compensation and Benefits:

        • In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $66,000-$88,000 per year. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for bonus, vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
