    Aviture is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to help us deliver scalable, secure, robust solutions across our diverse customer portfolio. As a Scrum Master, you will help guide and coach our agile development teams, ensuring they adhere to Scrum theory, best practices, and guidelines. In addition, you will help facilitate and support the Scrum activities for one or more of our development teams and play a key role in resolving impediments that are identified to increase the effectiveness of Avitures application of Scrum across our organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Scrum Master serves the Scrum Team in several ways, including:
    • Coaching the team members in self-management and cross-functionality
    • Helping the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value increments that meet their Definition of Done
    • Causing the removal of impediments to the Scrum Teams progress
    • Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the time-box.

      The Scrum Master serves the Product Owner in several ways, including:
      • Helping find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management
      • Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items
      • Helping establish empirical product planning for a complex environment
      • Facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed

        The Scrum Master serves the organization in several ways, including:
        • Leading, training, and coaching the organization in its Scrum adoption
        • Planning and advising Scrum implementations within the organization
        • Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work
        • Removing barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams

          Requirements

          Scrum Master Skills/Requirements
          • Bachelor's level degree applied towards software development or equivalent experience working in software development teams
          • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification
            • Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
            • Experience working in product management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.
            • Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
            • 3+ years of Agile project delivery experience as a Scrum Master or similar role leading technical teams
            • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
            • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
            • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on conflict resolution
            • Understands the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
            • Understands the value of metrics and has an ability to capture and report on them
